Overview
Working principle:
Delivering air/oxygen to patient is based on an
Ambu bag (a self-inflating bag used for manual ventilation). The amount of air
leaving the bag is controlled by a motor-operated pressing mechanism.
Main Components:
-
Self-inflating bag (Ambu bag).
-
Electrical motor.
-
Pressing mechanism.
-
Control panel.
-
Pressure sensor.
-
Heartbeat rate and Oxygen saturation sensor.
-
Power supply.
These components are illustrated in the
following figure.
Control Panel:
The control panel contains a screen that
displays the device settings and the values measured by the sensors as shown
below.
The control panel also contains knobs to adjust
air volume, breath per minute (BPM), Inspiratory/Expiratory ratio (IER), and
peak pressure. In addition, the device is equipped with four buttons that allow
the user to navigate and set other advanced settings.
Remote Control:
A PC/mobile application can be used
to control the device remotely via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connection. The
application can also be used for monitoring pressure
level, heartbeat rate and SpO2.
